Just as God the Father wishes for all people to grow up in a healthy biological family here on earth, He has also provided in His wisdom a spiritual home on earth for all His children, where they can feel protected and secure and experience joy, relationships, positive development, parenthood, provision, and much more.
“[Those who are] planted in the house of the Lord (church), …will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright!’ ”
The Bible calls this spiritual home “church.” It is a home for all people who know God as a loving father and have invited Him into their lives. In the same way, however, it is also a refuge and a place of hope and restoration for all those who have never heard of God or His saving grace.
The church is an ‘ingenious concept’ that cannot be compared to anything else in this world. For here is where people of all ages, sex, skin colors, cultures, languages, countries, social backgrounds, and religions will find a HOME!
Whether single, engaged, married, divorced, a single-parent or a patchwork family … it is a place of acceptance and love for all.
Jesus’s church offers a spiritual home to all people, especially to those who never experienced a healthy natural family of their own. God gives us new fathers, mothers and siblings, children, cousins, aunts and uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers, friends, etc. Solidarity comes through the love of our Heavenly Father, through the redemption we share in Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit. The foundation of all relationships is the Holy Scripture, which has become the standard for our new life.
This home has been beautifully and fantastically designed by God. There’s a spot for everyone in the church that is perfectly suited for each individual; just as each stone in an architecturally crafted building is set in its proper position (1 Peter 2:5). People serve each other with the gifts and talents they possess. And that lends tremendous stability and a great dynamic to the whole body.
No wonder Jesus, in one of His most significant quotes, says, “… I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it (i.e. this HOME for my children on earth)”! What a huge promise for all of us! Simply fantastic! Especially in challenging times!
And in the Old Testament, we read this additional promise of God: “[Those who are] planted in the house of the Lord (church), …will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright!’ ” (Psalm 92:13-15)
I sincerely wish you this fresh and spiritual fitness. Embedded and rooted in God’s house on earth, His church, will guide you toward a blessed future with God.
What could be better? Don’t miss it!
